Montezuma holds a number of multi-commodity exploration and mining tenements in Western Australia. The Company's primary focus is on its 100% owned Yamarna and Holleton gold projects where green fields exploration has identified a number of large scale targets which are being tested for economic gold mineralisation.
The Yamarna Project, within the Archean Yamarna Greenstone Belt contains a number of targets at the Jatz, Ryvita, Ritz and Le Snak Prospects. The lead target is a 1.5km long high tenor basement geochmical gold anomaly that is currently the focus of deeper RC drill testing. The tenement holds good potential for orogenic gold mineralisation similar to that defined by Gold Road Resources Ltd at their Gruyere gold discovery along strike from Montezuma's ground holding.
The Holleton Project contains a number of priority gold targets, including a 2.5km long high tenor auger and aircore anomaly with only three deeper drillholes which intersected broad zones of gold mineraliasation with individual grades of up to 7 g/t. Further drilling is planned once land access is obtained.
The Green Dam Project is located east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and holds good potential for economic sulphide nickel mineralisation, having been the focus of previous work which defined significant nickel sulphide mineralisation along two ultramafic contact zones over significant strike lengths.
